Our Journey
1996 — The Beginning in Saudi Arabia
Collage began in Saudi Arabia as Frieze Interior Design, founded by Ahmed Shah and Naunain Ahmed. Early recognition came through contemporary, competition-winning interiors that challenged convention and established a design-led foundation for the practice.
2003 — Collage Established in Bahrain
The move to Bahrain became a defining chapter for Collage. It positioned the practice within an open international business environment, broadened its collaborations and created a platform for work across markets.
2016 — Lahore and London Network
New connections in Lahore and London expanded Collage’s design, research and technical-coordination capacity, enabling teams to work across disciplines, cultures and time zones.
2020–2024 — The Istanbul Chapter
Collage established an Istanbul studio during global uncertainty, strengthening regional design exchange and international collaboration. The studio completed its chapter in 2024 and remains part of the practice’s journey, not its current studio network.
Today — Four Connected Studios. One Practice.
Today, Collage works through connected studios in Manama, Dammam, Lahore and London. Architecture, interiors, landscape, cost awareness and project delivery come together as one multidisciplinary Value Addition Practice.
